    Superiority

I don’t think that I am better than everyone else…just some.  Let’s face it, it’s not too difficult; society doesn’t exactly set the bar too high.  I’m proud of my accomplishments and I have achieved more than others.  No, it wasn’t luck, it was hard work.  Enough about me already, at least for now.  Let’s talk about how we as a society have let people think they are better than us when in fact, they are not.  Like my previous article, Rewarding, we have let celebrities rise upon pedestals to look down at us.  We’ve come to let ourselves believe that money dictates superiority.  We’ve completely ignored the factor of intelligence.

Another group of people that we’ve come to accept as superiors are our politicians.  Politicians fall into the category of public servants.  The keyword being servants.  Really, I look at all levels of government, from municipal to federal, and these fuckers really believe they are superior to us.  They’re not!  They are our servants!  They are our subordinates, not superiors.  It’s like Queen Lizzy getting up every morning to cook and clean for her staff.  When we relinquish our power we have to deal with the consequences of that power being used against us.  Somewhat like giving somebody your gun and then they shoot you with it.  Crazy, huh?

Well, my fellow Americans, this is exactly what we are dealing with today.  We’ve given our guns to our politicians so they can shoot us all while under the guise of accepting a falsity that they are our superiors.  So, METAPHORICALLY (and if you don’t know what that means, look it up or quit reading this article because you are too stupid and unworthy of a lot), it’s high time we take our guns back and fire back at our politicians.  Make them work for us and not against us.  Make them do the job for which they’ve VOLUNTEERED or  we will remove them from their post.  Our voting rights give us ultimate SUPERIORITY, and with it however, comes great responsibility.  Like most things, if you don’t use it, you WILL lose it.

It will take ALL of us to just swallow and gulp down any cynicism that we have and go out and vote.  Vote for what YOU believe in, not someone else.  Don’t waste your vote.  Many of you go out wanting to vote for a “lost cause” and settle on who think has the most chance of winning.  That’s not responsible.  Vote your heart and not your statistics.  We have to let these political reprobates know that they are no longer superior to us and not everyone wants to see them in office.  If there are no candidates that you like, then write in one.  Voice your opinion. When you settle on your choice, you’re handing over your gun. You’re letting yourself become inferior.

Now, off to tell the boss-lady that yes, she can have my credit card for shopping …
